From camera to computer

The Central City Library and St Heliers Community Library are showing their support for the upcoming Auckland Festival of Photography in June with free digital photography classes.

"From camera to computer - working with digital photos" is a course where participants will learn how to download, print and save photos from their cameras, improve their photos through editing, and share photos via email or websites with family and friends.

Remuera Community Library is also hosting a "Introduction to Digital Photography" presentation by photography tutor Julian Parry on the 16 June.

The third annual Auckland Festival of Photography (1 to 24 June) provides a focus on photography as a tool of popular culture, a medium for fine art and a recreational pastime.

The festival includes a series of exhibitions across the region throughout June, showcasing some of the best local, national and international photographic artists as well as providing opportunities for both the skilled and novices to participate.
