Boy Racer Stupidity Is Born At The Beehive.

Suggestions by Tauranga city council to ban cars from industrial areas at night to prevent a repeat of the recent Boy racer tragedy at Mt Maunganui in which 20 year old Scott Finn was killed are an exercise in stupidity according to Hamilton Mayoral hopeful, Libertarian Independent Tim Wikiriwhi.

He believes such a ban would not address the real issue and consequently could increase the hazard to public safety. He said innocent people will be unduly harassed by police and boy racers will practice their stupidities under more hazardous conditions and attributes growing boy racer irresponsibility to be symptomatic of a society that has abandoned the ethics of self-responsibility in favour of Socialist Nanny state.

Mr. Wikiriwhi asserts that decades of ‘Sue Bradford and Diane Yates type medaling’ that forces children to wear cycle helmets. Bans sky rockets and crackers, removed corporal punishment from schools on top of socialist hand outs like the dole and DPB, and myriad other compulsions and negations of personal ethics have led us to this tragic place where murder is rife, and young adults are incapable of respect for the welfare of others. “It sickens me that the same toxic disease is relentlessly proposed as the remedy".

This is why he is speaking out today. “We have molly coddled and corrupted our young” What he describes as a trend towards anarchy can in his opinion only be reversed with Libertarian political ethics in government and Christian values voluntarily reestablished at home. “Even the Police don’t want more legislation” he said. “There is no quick fix. It was quick fixes that got us into this very mess.

We would be better off reducing regulations like OSH laws and consent processes which currently make it next to impossible for car Enthusiasts to hold legitimate race meetings” and says these are the sorts of solution he would seek if elected to Mayor of Hamilton.
