Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 16 to Friday 22 June

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week's proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

Motorway Lane Closures:

Sunday 17 June (contingency 18 June)

SH1 northbound between Onewa Rd and Esmonde Rd closed from 11pm until 5am for barrier deployment and linemarking

* Onewa Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps will also be closed 10pm - 5am (contingency 18, 20 & 21 June)

* Diversion via Esmonde Rd or Northcote Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps

Tuesday 19 June (contingency 20 & 21 June)

SH1 northbound between Onewa Rd and Northcote Rd closed from 11pm until 5am for barrier deployment and linemarking

* Onewa Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps will also be closed 10pm - 5am (contingency 18, 20 & 21 June)

* Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps

Tuesday 19 June (contingency 20 & 21 June)

SH1 southbound between Constellation Dr and Tristram Ave closed from 10pm until 5am for barrier relocations

* Constellation Dr southbound on-ramp will also be closed 9pm - 5am

* Diversion via Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp

Ramp And Link Closures:

Esmonde Rd - Akoranga Dr

Monday 18 June (contingency 19 - 21 June)

Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Rd east and westbound between Akoranga Dr and Lake Rd closed from 9pm until 5am for detector loops and barrier relocations

* Akoranga Dr eastbound from Warehouse Way to Esmonde Rd will also be closed

* Diversion via Northcote Rd or Onewa Rd southbound on-ramps

Tuesday 19 June

Esmonde Rd northbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 4am for signage and landscaping works

* Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound on-ramp

Northcote Rd

Sunday 17 - Thursday 21 June

SH1 Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am for barrier relocation, water main works and slipforming

* Diversion via Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp

Tristram Ave

Monday 18 June (contingency 19 - 21 June)

Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp closed from 10pm until 5am for barrier relocation

* Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp

The above dates include contingency dates, and diversion routes are subject to change. Work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed daily to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time & the correct diversions are in place.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
