Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 15 to Friday 21 September

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

ONEWA RD
Sunday 16 September
SH1 Onewa Rd northbound off-ramp closed from 10pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.
* Diversion via Stafford Rd or Esmonde Rd northbound off-ramps
* Contingency closure 17 - 20 September

Sunday 16 September
Onewa Rd eastbound from Bruce St to SH1 closed from 10pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.
* Diversion via Lake Rd to Northcote Rd motorway on-ramps
* Contingency closure 17 - 20 September

ESMONDE RD
Monday 17 September
SH1 Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier modifications.
* Diversion via Onewa Rd southbound on-ramp
* Contingency closure 18 - 20 September

NORTHCOTE RD
Friday 21 September
SH1 Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.
* Diversion via Esmonde Rd southbound off-ramp

TRISTRAM AVE
Sunday 16 September – Thursday 20 September
SH1 Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am the following morning for on-ramp widening.
* Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp

Sunday 16 September & Monday 17 September (contingency closure)
SH1 Tristram Ave southbound off-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am the following morning for line marking and water blasting.
* Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp
* This closure will only take place if weather postpones earlier planned works.

The above include contingency dates and diversion routes, which are subject to change. Work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed daily to ensure that no two consecutive overbridges or interchanges are closed at the same time, and the correct diversions are in place.

Road users are requested to use the signposted detours whilst the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
