Yates not Wanted at HCC
By Libertarian Independent Tim Wikiriwhi.
Libertarian Independent Tim Wikiriwhi has issued what he calls a 'Nanny state alert' imploring Hamilton East not to elect Dianne Yates to council, justifying himself by saying the alert is vital to the first stage of his strategy to alleviate Hamilton's budget blow out and subsequent heavy ratepayer burden.
Mr Wikiriwhi is running for Hamilton Mayor and is also a candidate for Hamilton West ward and is campaigning on the principle that Hamilton needs an fresh City council and a new strategy and says Yates record in the Labour government disqualifies her from being a sensible choice if Hamilton is looking for a solution to the rates crisis.
In explanation he said " Perhaps the most vital part of fixing Hamilton's financial crisis is that Hamiltonians use the election opportunity to get rid of the culprits whose incompetence has led to the current heavy rates burden and electing a fresh council with a much tighter ideology when it comes to spending ratepayers money. The three contenders ahead of me in the polls are all guilty parties of the fiscal meltdown and unless Hamiltonians snap out of their day dream they will waste this election opportunity and foolishly re elect all the big talking, big spenders back into council!
I tell Hamilton to wake up to this giant mistake, and sack the ring leaders of the last failed council especially Gordon Chesterman and Dave McPherson". Just as important as holding the guilty to account is that Hamiltonians investigate which new Candidates will respect their rights and liberties and have a frugal philosophy, which means there is no place for an archaic Socialist Dinosaur Like Yates who he say's when it come to big spending, heavy handed government She even makes Chesterman and Mcpherson look like armatures!
He pointed to her past record in government and called it a disgrace. "She lays her hopes on Hamiltonians forgetting she was part of the Labour party who stole almost half a million tax payer dollars to fund her party's propaganda campaign and only paid it back because they got caught. She hopes Hamiltonians have forgotten she was part of the Government that made good parents criminals if they discipline their children!"
Mr. Wikiriwhi intends implementing what he calls his Libertarian program of reform and intends to downsize council to focus strictly on core utilities, claiming his philosophy has the endorsement of Nobel prize winner for economics, the late Milton Friedman.
