Important workshop for arts community.
October 2, 2007
North Shore City has $400,000 to support the local arts scene – and next Monday local artists can learn how to apply for funding.
A workshop is to be held at 7pm on October 8 at the Bruce Mason Centre to advise the local arts community on North Shore City's $400,000 Auckland Regional Services Trust (ARST) Fund and the allocations process involved.
The workshop is open to all and will explain the criteria associated with the fund, the disbursement process, and how to lodge your initial expression of interest.
Expressions of interest must be received by Council Sector Development Arts Officer, Sarah Dugdale, by 4pm, Friday, October 26.
All applicants will be advised by Friday, November 2, if their project is deemed suitable for a stage two formal application.
Projects seeking funding must be for arts or cultural projects that have a regional significance and are not scheduled to commence before March 2008.
Detailed information on project funding criteria will be made available at the workshop or can be requested directly by contacting Sarah Dugdale at North Shore City Council.
Final recommendations are expected be presented to a council committee for ratification in February, 2008.
