Canaan Downs is hosting the nicest party to end the year!

Located in Aotearoa’s most iconic dancing destination, set in the spectacular quartz and limestone landscape of Takaka Hill, Canaan Downs is a camping paradise of rolling grasslands surrounded by native beech forest.

A familiar New Years destination for over a decade, Canaan Downs has a rich history of hosting some of the most memorable events of our time. Recognising this, the Canaan Downs Festival is a return to the good vibes that can be found by representing the full diversity of Aotearoa music & culture.

This year: Featuring the One Stage, a Dance Tent, Trance Zone, Tribal Circle (and more) presenting live music, Dj’s, Vj’s and performance. Explore the site for natural artworks and sonic arts or find healing and solace and stories by the warmth of a fire.

Come, meet great people, smiling faces, find old friends and share in the energy of Canaan Downs Festival.

Performance will span three nights, building to New Years Eve for the final night! Once again Canaan Downs will sound with the full spectrum of the musical styles that keep our feet dancing: House, Trance, Hard Dance, Techno, Drum & Bass, Breaks, Hip Hop, Dub, Roots, Downbeat, Chill, Ambient & Sound-scapes.

Canaan Downs Festival welcomes everyone to participate in the truly relaxed family atmosphere. There is a dedicated Kids Zone, free entry for Under-12’s and an ALCOHOL FREE policy to create a safe environment for all ages.

Food, coffee and market crafts will be available in the festival Village. Ample clean toilets, fresh water and recycling will be provided around the spacious camping areas. Look after the land! Look after the festivals future!
