Movies under the stars

North Shore City media release

Movies under the stars
January 25, 2008

Bring your picnic blankets, bean bags, fold out chairs and enjoy movies under the stars.

Moonlight Movies Open Air Cinema is a series of 24 free open air cinema films screening over nine weeks at eight different outdoor locations across North Shore City.

Open Air Cinema Ltd owner and operator Urs Baur, believes North Shore City is only the third city worldwide after New York and Paris to offer residents such a high quality and comprehensive free-to-all outdoor film programme.

“There have been other smaller outdoor screenings around the country and many of these have been pay-per-view, however this is the first large scale entirely free programme,” says Mr Baur.

Free films will screen over nine weeks at eight different parks starting January 31 and ending April 5.

The schedule has been carefully created to provide something for everyone including classics, documentaries, locally produced films and blockbuster hits

Open Air Cinema Ltd provides the best equipment available including the largest inflatable high quality screen and high power 35mm film projector.
