Online photo exhibition celebrates Manukau’s history

‘Footprints of Manukau’ is an online exhibition created by Manukau Libraries as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography. The exhibition features a selection of historic photographs from the Manukau Libraries’ collection.

Manager of Manukau Libraries Mirla Edmundson says, “The photographs celebrate Manukau’s people in years past. The exhibition is an evolving one and we invite residents to submit images suitable for future inclusion.”

The exhibition can be viewed at www.manukau-libraries.govt.nz from 1 June.

“To reach a wider audience Manukau Libraries is storing its archives in digital form. This online exhibition is another step in the process. We look forward to seeing how Footprints of Manukau evolves through contributions from our customers”, says Ms Edmundson.
