Doing Business in the Mid East
Doing Business in the Middle East - more than just
dates and camels
The Auckland Chamber of Commerce’s International Trade Team warmly invites you to experience Market Snapshots, a fresh and lively seminar series exploring business vitality in emerging global hotspots.
We kick off the series with a focus on the Middle East, a
market energized by
wealth, competition and opportunity.
If your business is currently operating in the Middle East
or is considering entering, you will not want to miss out on
our first Market Snapshots event for invaluable insights
into this exciting region.
You will hear from leading New Zealand diplomats and business experts who will offer relevant and real life experiences of what to expect, as well as what does and doesn’t work:
- Darryl Dunn, Director of MFAT’s Middle East and Africa Division, will provide an overview of New Zealand’s trade policy in the region and discuss the benefits of fostering a closer relationship with the world’s largest oil producing nations. He will outline the reasons why New Zealand companies should engage in the Middle East and explain what MFAT is doing to foster relationships between New Zealand and that region
- Sam Lewis, Director - NZTE Food & Beverage Taskforce, will explain how the Middle East is not only a major source of petroleum and a key market for meat and dairy products, but is also open to a diverse array of trade with New Zealand companies
- Simon Hall, Corporate Relations Manager at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, will share the story of how his company has successfully expanded into the Middle East, discuss what strategies have worked, what difficulties the company faced and how it overcame them.
