The awards are a journey that begins at the municipal level with Wellington’s five councils holding their own award ceremony to celebrate the work of volunteer organisations in their local community. The Supreme Winner, Kotuku Music Academy Support Trust, will represent Wellington at the National TrustPower Community Awards in March next year.
The efforts of Wellington Airport’s own volunteer Ambassadors, and Luvaine McDonald for her contribution to Wellington High Performance Aquatics in making its first year so successful were also recognised at the awards ceremony.
