Mitsubishi Motors partners with world-first eco-tourism experience ZEALANDIA™
ZEALANDIA™ already has its first corporate partner. At a recent gathering to launch ZEALANDIA™, attended by Prime Minister John Key, Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ltd was announced as the first principal partner.
The partnership covers a four-year period with Karori Sanctuary Trust, which manages ZEALANDIA™.
“We’re very proud to be associated with ZEALANDIA™ and the Karori Sanctuary Trust team. They are brilliant at capturing people’s imagination and leading them to a better understanding of what conservation is all about.” said Mitsubishi Motors managing director John Leighton.
Mitsubishi Motors is expected to create a world-first when its breakthrough emission-free iMiEV electric car arrives in New Zealand early next year. In the meantime, Mitsubishi have provided Karori Sanctuary Trust with a strikingly-branded i-car – an innovative low-emission car that combines athletic performance with superior fuel economy.
“It is very encouraging to have such support from a strong, innovative brand that, like us, has its eyes firmly on the future,”said Nancy McIntosh-Ward, chief executive of Karori Sanctuary Trust. “Mitsubishi’s new electric car is tip-of-the-iceberg evidence of the investment they’ve been putting into sustainability in the broadest sense, and we’re impressed by that”.
