Free summer concerts bring music to Manukau

There is a great way to enjoy summer weekends with Manukau City Council's free ‘Summer Sounds in the Park’ concert series in February. Howick Domain's comfortable setting and Massey Homestead's colourful gardens provide the perfect backdrop for concert goers.

Organised by Manukau Arts and Parks, the parks will host great music and entertainment ranging from seven-piece group Banda Latina, to Allegro's lively energetic sound and Oceania Storm's Pacific Island flava songs.

We are bringing more concerts to Howick and Mangere this year due to popular demand, says Manukau Arts Events Manager, Chantelle Whaiapu. "It is a great chance for the community to come and experience other activities happening in Manukau’s parks.”

Bring along your picnic basket and blanket and enjoy the last days of summer with a great line up of free entertainment.

In case of wet or unsuitable weather, concerts will be cancelled - phone 267 0180 after 1pm for cancellation updates.
