Check MAXX for travel during the Easter weekend

Check
MAXX for travel during the Easter weekend
The Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) advises that public transport services will be operating to public holiday timetables during Easter weekend.
ARTA General Manager, Customer Services, Mark Lambert says “There will be no rail services, or rail bus replacements, operating on Good Friday 10 April. Rail bus replacement services will be running on most parts of the rail network during the remainder of Easter weekend. This is to allow for important works on the double-tracking of the Western Line and further development of New Lynn and Newmarket stations.
“We know that rail bus replacements can cause disruption for some passengers, however the work being undertaken over Easter is vital to continuing the upgrade of the rail network and the future delivery of improved rail services. The works have been scheduled for this time as there are generally less people utilising public transport over public holidays. We thank passengers for their patience at this time.”
As most bus and ferry services will be operating to public holiday timetables over Easter, passengers should check MAXX before traveling by calling (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz.
“We would kindly advise all passengers to check timetables carefully before travelling, and we would like to wish everyone an enjoyable long weekend.” Mr Lambert says.
