Fun at the library these school hols!

With a range of activities planned at Puke Ariki and District Libraries there’s something to keep children of all ages occupied these school holidays.

And don’t forget to check out Taranaki Culture: fresh out of the box, Puke Ariki’s latest exhibition on display until Sunday 19 July. Explore the art and literature, lifestyles, values, traditions and beliefs that make Taranaki a place like no other.

All activities are free. Interested kids and parents should contact the Council on 06-759 6060 to register. Places are limited so get in quick!

Puke Ariki
Tuesday 7 July - Lantern Making
9.30am-12.30pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki
Make a lantern to use in the Taranaki International Festival of the Arts lantern parade! Only 15 spaces so get in quick.
Suitable for ages 7-12.

Tuesday 7 July - Dragons
2.00pm-3.00pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki
Calling all knights and princesses. Come and make a dragon!
Suitable for ages 5-10.

Thursday 9 July - Kapa haka and poi workshop
2.00pm-3.00pm, Te Takapou Whariki Maori Gallery, Level 2, Puke Ariki
Learn how to haka, use poi, and sing waiata with Kanohi ki te Kanohi. Proudly supported by Shell Todd Oil Services.
Suitable for ages 8-12. (Parents welcome too!)
