Exhibition excluded as too spiritual
Returning New Zealand Born Artist Angel Exhibition excluded from Pirongia's annual Arts and Craft Day exhibition for being too spiritual.
Four weeks back in her home town
and Miss Krippner approached the hall custodian at Pirongia
to participate in the arts and crafts exhibition.
Two weeks later Diane received a phone call from the custodian informing her that she was to be disappointed and not be allowed to participate in the exhibition. Miss Krippner was informed, the founding members of the monthly markets didn't want the fair to go 'that way,' specifically clairvoyant, psychic and spiritual stuff.
The title of exhibition
'Reflective Moments'
“I paint angels” exclaimed
Diane.
“I do not call myself a clairvoyant, I am a
spiritual facilitation artist.”
The monthly fairs already have a minimum of 5 spiritual healers who run stalls, none of these stall holders actually demonstrate their psychic or healing talents.
Miss Krippner approached the local council but to date has had no reply from Waipa Council over this matter.
Feeling discriminated against was enough to spur Diane on to organising her own Exhibition at the Ngahinapouri Hall, and to invite the local holistic healers, Reiki practitioners and Clairvoyants to join her in celebrating their talents and gifts.
The two day Exhibition and Holistic Fair will run 26th and 27th September at the Ngahinaouri Hall on Kakaramea road. Gold Coin Donation. All welcome.
