Answers to all your sustainable building questions in one place at NorthTec
NorthTec’s Raumanga campus in Whangarei will be the venue for Northland’s first Sustainable Homes Expo on Saturday, 26 September.
The event is being organised by Whangarei Transition Towns and aims to provide members of the public with the practical information they need to choose the sustainable building technology best meets their needs, whether they’re building from scratch or retrofitting and existing building.
The Expo will also bring suppliers and vendors of sustainable building technology and products and their potential customers together.
There will be information available on how to access the government’s new Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart Programme which provides funding for home insulation and clean heating.
Seminars will be held throughout the day that will provide concrete ideas on what people can do to reduce their carbon footprint and save money on their power bills.
Each seminar will be followed up by a question and answer session to give provide those in the audience to have their questions answered by experts.
Admission is free to the public.
The Expo is on at NorthTec’s Interactive Learning Centre from 9am to 4pm.
