MAXX to cheer on the Silver Ferns at Vector Arena

International netball makes a welcome return to Vector Arena this Wednesday 23 September as the Silver Ferns take on Australia Diamonds.  Avoid parking woes and travel with ease aboard public transport services to and from the game.

The action gets underway at 7.30pm and netball fans should allow plenty of time for their journey to Vector Arena, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Britomart Transport Centre and the Downtown Ferry Terminal.

The Link bus, which stops on Beach Road close to Vector Arena, is also a good way to get to the game. Passengers can catch The Link from various locations around the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby. The cash fare is $1.60 one way.

Regular train and ferry services will be running to take fans to the game.  Following the game, the 9:40pm Papakura train service on the Eastern Line (via Glenn Innes and Otahuhu) will depart from Britomart ten-minutes later at 9:50pm to accommodate patrons.  On the Western Line the 9:33pm service to Waitakere will depart from Britomart twenty-minutes later at 9:53pm.

Normal ferry services and the Northern Express will also be running following the game to take fans home from the North Shore.

Aucklanders planning to use public transport to and from Wednesday’s international netball game can get more information from MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz
