Changes to Rotorua Cityride’s Route 6

Rotorua’s Cityride Route 6 Koutu bus service through Rotorua Hospital will change from Saturday 3 October 2009 to accommodate construction work at the hospital.

Instead of travelling directly along Pukeroa Street, passengers will go to the new western entrance of the hospital near the Bridgeman-South ward.

Environment Bay of Plenty Transport Committee Chairman Andrew von Dadelszen said the route had been changed to avoid significant new construction that was starting at the hospital.

“We’re making provisions for two new bus stops and the route change is expected to remain in place for approximately two years, which is the length of time that the construction work is scheduled to take,” said Mr von Dadelszen.
