Auckland City Mission is seeking friendly, outgoing people who can spare an hour or two to help with Street Collections on the Friday 11th and Saturday 12th December 2009.

Funds raised by the Mission’s Christmas Street Appeal will help to provide support for thousands of Aucklanders living in poverty or experiencing a major crisis. Auckland City Mission provides food, clothing, household items, bedding, Social Work assistance, advocacy, drug and alcohol detoxification, and health care for those who need it. This year the Mission has experienced a 52% increase in demand for emergency food alone.
