It’s time to get snapping!

If you’re out walking on one of the Bay of Plenty’s many tracks, visiting our beautiful coast or lakes or even just spending time with your family this summer – remember your camera!

Environment Bay of Plenty’s Backyard Photo Competition is again open, with the opportunity to win $250 for the best photograph we receive with $150 for second and $100 for third.

We’re looking for photographs of people enjoying the Bay of Plenty – so if you’re waterskiing at Lake Rotomā, horse trekking in Ōpōtiki or fishing in Bowentown, we’d love to see your photos. All photographs entered could feature in our magazine Backyard during the next year.

This year we also have a special ‘On ya bike!’ category sponsored by Bikeweek 2010. Just get a snapshot of people enjoying the region on their bike and you could win cycling gear to the value of $150.
