India Cycle Challenge

Make 2010 One To Remember With An India Cycle Challenge

If you’re looking for an amazing challenge for 2010, Save the Children’s India Cycle Challenge may be just the thing to turn your wheels.Spend 14 days in India on a fully supported cycle adventure – visiting the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, cycling through rural Rajasthan, sampling the sights and sounds of a different culture and admiring the awe-inspiring beauty of the Taj Mahal at sunrise.

Before you start cycling, you’ll get the chance to see firsthand how Save the Children programs improve the lives of some of India’s most at-risk children by spending two days at a project in Delhi.

Over two million children in India die every year from easily preventable diseases before that they reach their fifth birthday.

To date Save the Children has successfully reached over 3 million children across India – and the much needed funds you raise for this cycle challenge will make a big difference to many more children.

“India is special, like nowhere else on the planet. The sheer energy, colour and chaos of the place are intoxicating and the people are a delight. To be able to visit again, this time at cycle pace and to combine this with seeing Save the Children projects in action and helping to fund more work is the perfect combination,” says tour leader Jill Worrall.

Before you depart New Zealand, you’ll need to raise $7,600 to cover travel costs and the donation to charity. You’ll also need a good level of fitness.

This unique trip runs from 5 September to 18 September 2010. There are limited places available. Registration details can be found at www.inspiredadventures.co.nz/scnz
