Have A Go Corporate Triathlon 2010

Have A Go Corporate Triathlon 2010

It is time to rally the team together and shake off the cobwebs of Christmas cheer because SBS Bank and Dunedin Triathlon and Multisport Club are gearing up for their second annual Have a Go Corporate Triathlon.

Following the success of last year’s event, the event is again being offered as a fun, team-building challenge and is an ideal way to give triathlon a try.

SBS Bank Dunedin banking consultant Nick Wells said the Corporate Triathlon 2010 was designed as a “have a go event that enticed workmates, family and friends to put a team of three together and give triathlon a try.”

“The Corporate Triathlon is aimed at people wanting to give something new a go and offers both elements of individual and team challenges to all the eager participants.

“There will be no entries taken on the day – Wednesday 24 February – so people just have to get their team entry organised over the next few weeks and kick start their training in preparation for it,” Mr Wells said.

The Corporate Triathlon 2010 will be held at MacAndrew Bay, in Dunedin, on Wednesday 24 February, starting at 6.30pm, with the transition area located in the parking area on Portobello Road.

Entry is $30 for each three-person team and the event involves a 400m swim, 15km cycle and 5km run. There will also be heaps of prizes and giveaways on offer and a prize giving as soon as the last competitor has completed the course.

“The team at SBS Bank is pleased to be involved in this great community event that offers the double incentive of helping people to get out and active while also enjoying the challenge of a new experience.

“We’ll be there cheering everyone on and hope to muster enough troops to field a team ourselves,” Mr Wells said.
