The Hills celebrates another successful NZ Open

Michael Hill and his team are celebrating another successful Michael Hill NZ Open tonight. The third NZ Open at The Hills has been an exhilarating one with large crowds, glorious weather and a sensational level of golf played on the course.

Michael Hill would like to thank the hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers, the community and his team, without whom the NZ Open would not be the prestigious event it is. “Everybody plays an integral part in this – it really is an impressive team effort.”

General Manager of The Hills, Sam Gent says, “The Hills are incredibly proud to have hosted this spectacular competition again in 2010. As everyone is aware we are committed to doing all that we can to make The Hills the permanent home of the NZ Open.”

Gent and her team have continued to develop the infrastructure at The Hills to ensure it is the ideal venue for an international event of the NZ Open’s calibre. “We will be working hard to meet and exceed future requirements for the NZ Open, as we learn and gain experience with every competition year on year.”

Michael Hill has enjoyed much more than just the golf at this year’s Michal Hill NZ Open, with plenty going on both on and off the course. “This really is a world-class event that has something for everyone – from the buzz of our Main Street marquee village to the generous corporate hosting and the expectant hush of the crowd in one of the world’s most spectacular settings. What better way to showcase New Zealand to visitors and viewers from all around the world.”
