Statement From Rodney Moulder

Statement From Rodney Moulder

The husband of Australian mother-of-four Kirsty Moulder, who plunged into icy cold water in New Zealand’s South Island after her foot slipped from her bungee cord on Friday, has released a statement thanking her rescuers.

Kirsty, 39years, and her husband Rodney Moulder were 11 days into a 13 day holiday when the accident happened.

After the accident Kristy was airlifted to Christchurch hospital suffering from internal injuries and has undergone major surgery to her shoulder.

“Everyone has been so helpful, supportive and professional,” Mr Moulder said. “The people from Thrillseekers Adventures, the Westpac rescue crew and the staff at the hospital have gone out of the way to care for Kirsty and I would like to thank them all.”

The couple plan to return to their Blue Mountains home and four children aged 6-15 years, when Mrs Moulder can travel.
