Where is our Hamilton Millionaire?

Media Release

Where is our Hamilton Millionaire Big Wednesday Winner?

NZ Lotteries is asking all players who purchased a Big Wednesday ticket from Hamilton East Stationery & Lotto to check their tickets, as a massive $4.7 million First Division prize is still unclaimed, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

“The prize was won nearly a week ago, and normally we would have expected to have heard from our happy winners by now.  It is unusual that they have not come forward by this time, so we are asking Hamilton players to check their tickets.

“We have the millions still sitting in our bank, just waiting to be transferred to our lucky winner’s account,” says Mr McLeay.

“The Big Wednesday First Division prize package, sold at Hamilton East Stationery & Lotto, is worth a total of $4,740,060 - which will really change someone’s life,” says Mr McLeay.

Their prize package is made up of $3 million cash, an Audi R8, a Porsche Cayenne, a $250,000 Platinum VISA card, a $250,000 cash prize towards luxury travel, a Four Winns V258 boat, and a $750,000 cash prize towards a bach.

“This is also the largest lottery prize won in Hamilton to date”, says Mr McLeay.

“Anyone who has the winning ticket should write their name on the back of the ticket.  If they are our big winner, please contact us at NZ Lotteries on 04 802 7000 and we can advise them on the next steps to take," says Mr McLeay.
