Domino’s raises nearly $10,000 for earthquake victims
Domino’s Pizza’s 79 New Zealand stores joined forces to raise nearly $10,000 for the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal during its 13 September doughraiser.
All New Zealand stores donated $1 from every pizza sold on Monday this week, in total raising $9,600 for the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal.
Domino’s Pizza New Zealand General Manager Josh Kilimnik said the franchisees were thrilled to have raised such a large amount in just one day and wanted to thank the community for their support.
“This is the first time we have done a nationwide doughraiser and we are thrilled we could raise so much in such a short time.
“We would like to thank everyone who purchased pizza during the doughraiser, your support is greatly appreciated and your money is going to help a very well-deserving cause.
“Locally owned and operated, we strongly believe in giving back to the community and lending a helping hand where we can, which is why we are proud to support the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal.”
Josh said Domino’s would also like to thank their suppliers who jumped on board for the doughraiser.
“Along with the support from all our franchisees, we also are very grateful to our suppliers who donated product during our doughraiser this week,” Josh said.
“It was great to see the Domino’s family come together and do whatever we could to make a difference and help the thousands of people who were affected by the earthquake.”
