November Hits Mt Ruapehu - 2011 season passes

November Hits Mt Ruapehu - 2011 season passes only $355 for a limited time

Snovember is back and Mt Ruapehu is again offering New Zealand’s best season pass deal to snow enthusiasts.

Mt Ruapehu 2011 season passes go on sale today today, for a limited time, until midnight Monday 22 November 2010 – Adult passes (18 years and older) are priced at $355, and Youth (aged 5-18 years) $235.

These prices are significantly cheaper than those offered in April 2010.

Mike Smith, Mt Ruapehu Marketing Manager says that as well as being hugely discounted, as an added bonus for purchasers, Mt Ruapehu will be giving away one Mt Ruapehu Life Pass each day for the duration of the campaign.

“There’s certainly plenty of reasons to purchase a 2011 season pass during this week as each day we’ll be giving away one of our Life Passes to someone who purchased their pass that day. Each Life Pass is valued at more than $4,000, and it means they’ll never have to pay to ski and board at Mt Ruapehu again,” says Mr Smith.

Those who purchased an adult season pass in Snovember 2009 will, however, still only pay $350 for their 2011 season pass having ‘frozen’ their pass deal for three years.

Mr Smith says the 2010 season provided plenty of action for Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, operator of Mt Ruapehu.

“Overall we had a reasonably good season. We opened ahead of schedule in June, and extended the season into Snovember because our Spring snow conditions were just so good,” says Mr Smith.

“We were also busy during both the July and October school holidays with plenty of snow, and we dealt with the challenge of September’s unusually heavy storm which affected the entire country. All in all, a pretty good year and we’re already planning for the next season.”

2011 Season Passes can be purchased online at www.mtruapehu.com or by phoning 0508 RUAPEHU (782 734). Alternatively download an application form from www.mtruapehu.com.
