Jan 9, 2011 -- Miami, Fla -- Have an exhilarating time for a good cause at Auckland’s first large-scale Zumbathon on Wednesday, January 12th at TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre. Zumbathons® are high-energy Zumba Fitness classes that raise funds for non-profit organizations, and nearly 1,000 took place around the world in 2010 raising more than half-a-million dollars collectively.

Join Tanya Beardsley, one of the top Zumba Education Specialists, for a Zumbathon® charity event benefiting Starship Children’s Health, New Zealand’s first children’s hospital. Travelling the world representing Zumba Fitness, Tanya is co-host of the Zumba Fitness® DVDs and is featured in the all-new Zumba Fitness® video game.

Hundreds of people will take part in the super-sized, high energy fitness-party™ that will raise money for Starship Children’s Health, which provides a wide range of complex medical, surgical and mental health services for children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Tanya Beardsley said no matter what your age or fitness level, this is a great chance to start the year on a high note.

“Even if you’ve never taken a Zumba class before, we invite you to come and join the fitness-party for a super-charged workout,” said Tanya.

“Not only will you contribute to a good cause, you’ll have a great night out and kick start your 2011 health regime with a bang,” she said.
