Big Quiz at the Memorial Hall! Booya!

This Thursday (10 March 2011) there will be a Big Pub Quiz at the Memorial Hall in aid of the Red Cross Christchurch Appeal. The event hopes to raise thousands of dollars for the Red Cross, as well as giving locals and visitors alike a flexing of the grey matter! Many local businesses have shown their generosity by donating to the evening, with all the major ski fields donating hundreds of dollars worth of prizes.

As well as the quiz, the evening will feature music by Queenstown entertainment icons Margaret O'Hanlon & Mark Wilson bashing out a few tunes, with Richard Stringer and the team from Harcourts auctioning the rare and much sought-after lots, including the season passes, as well as a pair of tickets for the upcoming Elton John concert in November.

The evening will begin at 19:30, with the bar generously stocked by DB breweries, and food provided by the mighty Fat Badger Pizza. Lakes Leisure have come to the party by assisting with the use of the Memorial Hall, and Lakes Environmental pulling through with the liquor licensing approval in double quick time.

It is hoped many Queenstown companies will be coming down to the event, with Shotover Jet, Canyon Swing and Harcourts employees employing some early mindgame tactics, hoping to get an early advantage.

Whilst there are some great prizes for quiz, there are never too many when it comes to a charity event. Any companies wishing to help out can contact Matt Booth directly.

Tickets available at the door.

Let the battle of the brains begin!
