system:slim, New Zealand’s largest owned company in the health and weight loss market has launched a campaign to raise money for the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake appeal. Jo Hayes system:slim’s consultant on the North Shore has decided to bite the bullet to shift her own post-baby kg’s and support the Christchurch Quake appeal at the same time!

Jo, system:slim Torbay’s consultant knows what it’s like to struggle with weight as she has tried and tested many other weight loss programmes herself with limited success. “I wanted a system that would let me eat normal food and get back to a healthy way of life and system:slim does just that and if I can support a great cause at the same time then that’s an added bonus!”.

Jo admits that personally things have got a little out of hand in her own eating regime with the recent birth of her first child. “Now that I have finished breastfeeding I want to get my body back to its pre-pregnancy state or better!”. Jo has set up a fundraising page available at http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/JoHayes/ to help her raise money whilst aiming to reach her goal of losing 15kg by the end of the year and she would love your support. “I am also looking for a local gym or a personal trainer who is willing to donate membership or their time to assist me with my goal, as I know that it is not just overeating or eating the wrong foods that contributes to those extra kg’s, it is also a lack of exercise”. Jo has found it difficult to get out and about on a regular basis since the birth of her daughter, Sophie. “Trying to get to an exercise class when you have a 6 month old to care for isn’t easy as any new Mum will vouch for, so if there is somewhere out there on the shore with a crèche nearby who can take my daughter while I exercise – then even better!”

Jo has already lost over 6kg so far this year with system:slim “ The programmes are excellent, so easy to follow and super effective, and now I just need to keep going and add in the exercise component to keep up the weight loss”. Jo had a great incentive for this weight loss that being her wedding at the end of February, “I wanted to get into my bridal gown and look good!”
