Nature Coast Enterprise Chief Executive Chris Barber says “it points to a successful, well targeted domestic marketing campaign and we need to acknowledge the support from industry that has enabled us to make that work.”
“I am especially pleased to note that these increases are in contrast to other parts of New Zealand. Guest Nights across all New Zealand fell by 2.3%. Our neighbours were also down with the Manawatu district down 7.5%, Porirua City down 7.5% and Wellington City down 6.1%.
In fact the Kapiti-Horowhenua RTO region, comparing to the rest of NZ, had the second largest increase in total Guest Nights with only Auckland City attracting more.”
