Hyundai Code Looks Back on the All Black’s Cavaliers Tour, 25 Years on
Marking 25 years after the Cavaliers tour of South Africa, HYUNDAI CODE will broadcast a special edition in honour of the 1986 tour. The show will feature archive footage and an interview with former Cavalier Buck Shelford.
Joining the boys on the HYUNDAI CODE couch LIVE in the studio tomorrow night will be fellow Cavalier Steve McDowell and journalist Kip Brook, who covered the tour.
HYUNDAI CODE producer Fiona Apanui-Kupenga says dedicating a whole show to the Cavaliers tour was going to be great as it was such a memorable tour for many reasons.
“They were one of our iconic rugby teams. It’s great to be able to have Buck Shelford and Steve McDowell feature on our show,” she says.
This week’s HYUNDAI CODE will also see the start of the Mana Shield 2011 with the first challenge being a “Code Style” confidence course. Find out who wins on the show tomorrow and who has to bare the consequence of being poked with a cow prodder while singing “Mary had a little lamb”
Entertaining this week is one for the young ones, with one of New Zealand’s top MC’s Young Sid spitting some lyrics on the HYUNDAI CODE stage tonight.
