NZ Charity Gives Life Changing Strategies to Balclutha

An international charitable organization will spend the week commencing 30th May visiting and empowering Balclutha District schools and organisations.

Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower Trust is a non profit organization that teaches empowerment and people to people communication skills to children, teenagers and adults. Fiona Bryan National Centre Director says we are delighted that the Clutha District Wellness Programme and Positively Clutha Woman have chosen to fund us for the fifth year running.

“Local schools and organizations can benefit from learning life changing strategies to keep themselves safe with people they know and don’t know.”

“Bullying and abusive behaviour is a real issue in the culture of young people today, and it’s on the increase. Our workshops which are endorsed by the Police and Ministry of Justice address bullying issues and give people the tools they need to feel confident when faced with these behaviours”

Fiona Bryan says skills we teach meet sections of the school health curriculum but are not yet part of everyday school lessons like water safety skills, it’s our vision that these strategies are taught as part of life skills in schools.

“From the conception of Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower in New Zealand 18 Years ago, more than 26,000 people have been empowered through learning these skills and strategies.”

We have passionate experienced facilitators who deliver unique, experiential and fun workshops to children as young as four up to older adults. We are expanding into corporate programs, where workplace bullying is an issue often ignored.

“We are delighted to work with local organisation and consider ourselves very fortunate to work with the people of Balclutha District.”
