Christchurch Airport update

Christchurch Airport update

Christchurch Airport is open and functioning as usual today, with Air New Zealand domestic and international flights leaving and arriving on time. The airline put on two extra flights yesterday which helped to clear the backlog of passengers.

Jetstar and Qantas flights have been cancelled for the morning due to the volcanic ash situation; they will review the situation in the late morning to see if flights can resume later in the day.

Pacific Blue flight DJ60 from Melbourne was cancelled this morning. Pacific Blue Flight 71 to Sydney, which was due to depart at 8.20am, will now leave at midday.

Emirates, Singapore Airlines and AirAsia X are all scheduled to leave on time.
