Fashion and beauty makeovers are the kind of Cinderella stories that people only dream of, but for two local Bay of Plenty women, their style transformation dreams have become a reality thanks to Bayfair Shopping Centre.

Bayfair launched a search in April to find two Faces of Fashion to star in the centre’s first women’s fashion television commercial. Earlier this month, full-time mum Jessica Verran was announced as the face of the 18 to 35 group and Tauranga Intermediate canteen manager Theresa Comber represented the 35 and over group.

Jessica and Theresa were each treated to an ultimate pampering day at Bayfair Shopping Centre and agreed to have their experience captured on camera. They both received a top-to-toe makeover including two new outfits including shoes and jewellery selected by Bayfair’s retailer professionals, a make-up session and cosmetics, and a manicure and hairstyling session to complete their transformations.

To compliment the video footage of their television commercial debut, both women were presented with a photo book of their filming day by Bayfair marketing manager, Nina Rivett.

Theresa was honoured last Friday during Tauranga Intermediate School’s assembly and Jessica shared her Faces of Fashion experience with friends and family at a morning tea hosted by Bayfair’s Muffin Break.

Marketing manager Nina Rivett says, “It was an absolute pleasure working with Theresa and Jessica and we are thrilled to have these two local women representing Bayfair Shopping Centre. They are both inspirational women who I believe our shoppers can relate to and will be inspired by their transformation journey.

“We are eager to see our first women’s fashion television commercial which airs this Sunday 26 June and features snippets of Theresa and Jessica’s in-centre experience.”

Shoppers are invited to visit the Bayfair Shopping Centre Facebook page and follow Theresa and Jessica’s transformation over a nine day series. Each day will focus on a different aspect of their makeover process.
