Brancott Estate unveils plans for new state of the art Heritage Centre in Marlborough

New Zealand wine brand Brancott Estate is proud to announce the impending opening of the Brancott Estate Heritage Centre located within the historic Brancott Vineyard in Marlborough, set to be unveiled in September.

The Brancott Vineyard (after which the brand is named) is the site of the first planting of Sauvignon Blanc in the Marlborough region. Located on an elevated position, overlooking the Vineyard, the visitor centre will highlight not only the beauty of the iconic Marlborough landscape, but also celebrate the brand’s heritage and vision.

The Brancott Estate Heritage Centre at Brancott Vineyard will offer a rare opportunity for wine lovers and novices to appreciate first-hand the rich and deep history of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc’s humble beginnings. In particular, the Brancott Estate Heritage Centre will provide a platform to honour the location of the original Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc plantings, and the success of the varietal that has gone on to become the world’s favourite New Zealand wine style.

Construction of the Brancott Estate Heritage Centre began in late 2010 and is the vision of renowned New Zealand designers Jeff Fearon and Tim Hay of Fearon Hay Architects. The new Brancott Estate Heritage Centre will boast wine tasting facilities, cellar door, a 40 seat restaurant, meeting spaces and an unrivalled view of this world famous wine region, making it a key tourist destination for the over 1.5 million visitors who frequent the Marlborough region annually.*

The Brancott Estate Heritage Centre completion is due to coincide with the kick off to Rugby World Cup 2011 in September, of which Brancott Estate is proud to be an Official Sponsor.
