It’s Not Just a Game: Speaking Season with John Minto
John Minto is a political activist best known for his involvement in various left-wing groups and causes. Most notable of these was the Halt All Racist Tours group, which was involved in the protests of the 1981 Springbok tour at Rugby Park in Hamilton.
To
mark the 30th anniversary of the 1981 Springbok tour, John
Minto will be speaking at the Waikato Museum about his
involvement in the protests and providing a first hand
account of the events that took place on that significant
day in rugby history. Read more about the rugby park protests on
the waikato museum website.
The talk will
be held on the 11th of August at 7 pm.
