FEATURED ORGANISATION : LITTLE DOG BARKING
THEATRE
(NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR
PRIMARY SCHOOLS & EARLY LEARNING
CENTRES)
Former director of Capital E,
Peter Wilson is a master puppeteer. Many artists have
travelled from all over the world to have a chance to work
with him and improve their skills. His shows have toured
Australia and New Zealand as well as the Far East and he is
hoping to take the company to Shanghai in 2012. The company
has just completed a successful eco production for primary
schools called ‘Paper Shaper’ which incorporated mask
work as well as puppetry. The children were clearly
enchanted as they followed the adventures of the actor
interacting with the puppet who made wonderful creations
from the paper thrown in the rubbish bin. The company are
presently touring ‘Paper Plays’ for early learning
centres, an age group that many shy away from as they are
hard to please and their attention spans tend to be a lot
shorter! However, this magical Japanese adventure is
absolutely perfect for young audiences. The children follow
the adventures of Nompon and Debuden as they try to find
their clothes and shoes and the children are captivated from
the start. If you would like more information on the
company or would like to book their new production ‘The
Kowhai Tree’ for 2012, please contact :
Peter on 021 042 1851 or check out
