Auckland Transport and Fullers trial extra ferry sailings
Auckland Transport and Fullers Group Limited announced a new timetable trial with increased ferry sailings to and from Birkenhead, Northcote Point, Bayswater and Half Moon Bay on weekends.
The trial will run from 17 December 2011 until 26 February 2012 and has been developed as a result of feedback from residents in these areas stating there was a demand for increased services during the weekends. The new timetable will see sailings spread throughout the day, and later in the evening on Saturdays.
Both Fullers Group Limited and Auckland Transport encourage residents to take advantage of the improved timetable over the summer sailing indicating that high patronage may see the timetable extended. Customer feedback can be directed through Fullers Ferries website.
