Newmarket concerned about $100,000 Giveaway

Newmarket Business Association Chief Executive, Ashley Church, is concerned that someone will miss out on winning $100,000 in a shopper’s promotion being run by the Association.

The promotion is open to anyone who spends $25, or more, in Newmarket until the 22nd of December. These shoppers will receive a voucher with a special code – but to enter, they must go online and complete some basic details and a simple puzzle.

Mr Church says that a large number of the vouchers have been given away but that, with 3 days to go, online entries are still relatively low.

“People need to understand that they’re not actually entered until they complete the online details – so someone out there could potentially be sitting on $100,000 and not even know it”

The promotion is based on beating the odds and is being underwritten by Lloyds of London.

Mr Church says that similar promotions, overseas, have resulted in very large prize pay-outs and that he is hopeful that the same will happen here.

“There’s no reason why someone shopping in Newmarket couldn’t be the $100,000 winner – but they need to complete the steps to entering in order to win the prize”

Mr Church says that anyone who is not given one of the prize cards when spending more than $25 should ask for one when paying for their purchase.

“We want to see this money won, and spent, in Newmarket”.
