SKYCITY ‘Hottest Place’ for New Year’s Eve

SKYCITY will again be dazzling the people of Auckland on New Year’s Eve with its annual fireworks display and entertainment across site, all night long hosted by Jackie Clarke. Favourite fireworks formations, Star Mines and Comets, will blast from level 61 of the Sky Tower in what is believed to be Auckland’s main fireworks display that evening.

Mirroring this year’s theme of ‘The Hottest Place to be’, SKYCITY are expecting an anticipated crowd in excess of 35,000, with the Federal Street development and its new bars and restaurants attracting more punters on what is the biggest night of the year. There will be live entertainment and a buzzing atmosphere across over 24 bars and restaurants across the SKYCITY property, Federal Street and under the base of the Sky Tower.

SKYCITY’s digital countdown towards the ‘Midnight Moment’ will again start 36 hours in advance and there will be no doubt when 2012 arrives with all of their digital screens displaying the countdown as it reaches the last minute.
