Affordable Canterbury Sections:
Deadline Approaching
There’s been strong interest in the lowest priced new sections available in Christchurch which are being made available by The Canterbury Cooperative Land Trust.
Red zone homeowners have until a week this Friday to secure themselves one of fourteen sections in Merrilees Place and Cypress Street.
CCL spokesman Grant MacKinnon, says the Trust has been able to make the sections available through their collective buying power and adds that those interested in purchasing a section should deliver their offers by 4pm on Friday 2nd March.
“Potential purchasers are given a pack and we are asking purchasers to deliver their offers to the office of Malley and Co Lawyers, 170 Clarence Street in Riccarton. We will then let purchasers know by March 9th whether their offer has been accepted,” MacKinnon says.
At this stage, packs have been delivered to around ten people, three have expressed interest in particular sites and the Trust is confident they will have a significant number of offers presented by the deadline of 2nd March.
Summary:
Price: $119,300
(including GST). These sections are ready
for building on: titles have been issued.
The offer is conditional on all
sections being taken up by Red Zone home owners by early
March and paid for by the end of March.
Available to all Red Zone home owners
(not just those who have registered). If demand
exceeds the 14 sections available, the sections will be
allocated first to people who have already registered an
interest.
Timetable:
Closing date for receiving
unconditional offer contracts to buy sections: 4pm,
Friday 2nd March 2012.
