Bric-a-brac shortage - Hospice Shop furniture crisis deepens
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bric-a-brac shortage
Hospice Shop furniture crisis deepens
Hospice West Auckland has five fantastic op shops servicing the needs of the bargain hunters, clothing recyclers and retro queens of Waitakere.
The shops each offer a vast selection of clothes, shoes, kitchenware, furniture, toys and games dating from the 1950s through to last week. meaning there’s a bargain for everyone.
But there’s just one problem… in a crisis akin to the Marmite shortage currently rocking New Zealand, our Hospice shops are running low on furniture and bric-a-brac! We need your help to replenish our stock so that we can continue to meet the needs of West Auckland bargain hunters, and importantly, raise the funds we need to continue our vital work.
So out with the old – if you have a 70s sofa, a 60s print, an 80s coffee table, a 90s dinner set or a noughties computer chair gathering dust, bring it in to one of our shops or call 0508 4 HOSPICE (0508 446 7742) to donate your items.

Hospice West Auckland is a registered
charitable trust dedicated to improving the quality of life
for people who are dying. We give practical, emotional and
spiritual help to our patients and their families. We ensure
people have dignity and comfort at the end of their lives.
We are partially funded by the Waitemata District Health
Board, but we need to raise an extra $2 million a year. Your
support helps us provide our services free of charge.
