Mountain Biker Rescued from Belmont Park Lower Hutt
At 11:30am this morning the Life Flight Trust responded to Belmont Regional Park in Lower Hutt to a 62yr old male from Alicetown. The Patient had been Mountain Biking with a group of friends when he fell from his bike while riding down a hill.
Life Flight responded with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board the Westpac Rescue Helicopter
The Helicopter was able to land next to where the Patient was.
A Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic was already at the scene after diving there in a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
After being treated by the Paramedics at the scene the patient was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated for his injuries.
