Pukaha's Special Night definitely impressed!

Pukaha's Special Night definitely impressed!

150 people had a wonderful night on Saturday night at Pukaha's Twilight Dinner at Pukaha Mount Bruce. This was the first time we had undertaken such a large and important dinner, so we were thrilled everything went so well.

Nineteen items went under the hammer of the very enthusiastic and entertaining auctioneer, Ray Spencer, who went above and beyond to keep bidders on their toes and squeeze every last dollar out of the generous bidders that he could. Everything from a small jar of Marmite to a signed All Blacks jersey was up for grabs.

As mentioned in the last newsletter, Bob Francis, Chair of the Pukaha Mount Bruce Board, also offered up his 2007 referee's shirt, signed by the infamous Wayne Barnes himself.

Over $9,000 was raised through the auction and raffle.

Craig Cooper was MC on the night and did a wonderful job keeping everyone entertained.

The lovely Hannah McGrail set the evening up with her wonderful voice, followed by Mike Rigg and Toby Mills with some more upbeat music during the later evening.

The food was simply beautiful. Thanks to Entice - Salmon, beef and even some Iranian candy floss on our dessert! Remember to come and check out their lovely food at Entice Too in the Pukaha Mount Bruce visitor centre - you don't need to purchase a ticket you can just pop in for coffee and a slice on your way through Mount Bruce or make a day out of it.

Each year the Pukaha Mount Bruce Board is tasked with raising more than $150,000 towards Pukaha's forest restoration and pest eradication programmes. This fundraising is crucial to our success. We appreciate all the help we receive and ask that if you wish to donate, that you visit us at Pukaha.
