Final days for child HOP card users to renew concession

Final days for child HOP card users to renew their concession

Auckland Transport advises that child HOP card holders need to renew the concession on their HOP cards before this Sunday 15 April, so they can continue to receive a child discounted fare.

Child and Tertiary HOP card holders had until the end of March to renew the concession on their card or they would be charged an adult fare from 1 April. Auckland Transport extended the renewal deadline for Child HOP card holders until this Sunday to help anyone caught out by delays getting school student ID cards.

Child HOP card renewals need to be completed as soon as possible to ensure the cards are updated so the holder can continue to get their 40% discount. It can take up to ten working days to process applications.

Renewal is simple and easy and can be done by filling in an online form at myhop.co.nz.

Concession renewal forms are also available from Britomart Transport Centre, New Lynn and Newmarket train stations. Auckland Transport would like to advise that the time to renew tertiary HOP card concessions ended at the end of March , however applications to renew can still be done but the processing time of ten days needs to be taken into consideration and an adult fare will be charged until the application has been fully processed.
