Maritime Union Welcomes
Facilitation
The Maritime Workers Union is pleased the Employment Authority has agreed to provide facilitation after a joint application from the union and the port company.
MUNZ President Garry Parlsoe says he will continue to work constructively to achieve a fair and modern collective agreement.
“The skilled workers that the future of the port relies on are committed to achieving a collective agreement that provides ongoing security of employment as well as the flexibility required to run a successful port business,” he says.
Mr
Parsloe says the union will be doing everything in its power
to make sure the facilitation begins as soon as
possible.
