Awards Offer Benefits for Businesses
Awards Offer Benefits for
Businesses
With many benefits for
entrants, the chance to win a prestigious title is just the
tip of the iceberg according to the organisers of this
year’s local business awards.
At an official
awards launch in Henderson, Auckland Tourism, Events and
Economic Development (ATEED) urged local companies to enter
the 2012 Westpac Auckland West Business Awards and celebrate
their contribution to Auckland’s economy.
More
than 200 local business people attended the west launch
event, which is marking its 18th season, at The Trusts
Stadium. It is one of five launch events ATEED is running
for its separate local awards in Auckland west, south and
north.
ATEED Manager Business Growth – West, Zane
Taylor, says that entering the awards opens the door to a
host of opportunities.
“Not only are entrants in
line for increased business prestige and promotion, they
also get the chance to closely examine the inner workings of
their operation,” says Mr Taylor. “Completing the entry
form offers the unique chance to focus on seven key
businesses indicators, commonly seen in exceptional
companies, to see how they measure up.”
As
primary sponsor of the business awards, Westpac is right
behind the 2012 programme.
“This is an
outstanding opportunity for Auckland west businesses of all
sizes and industries to recognise their own hard work and
achievements,” says Ian Blair, General Manager of Business
Banking for Westpac. “As a proud supporter of business
around the country, both national and local, Westpac is
thrilled to once again be associated with these prestigious
awards and we look forward to acknowledging the
winners”
ATEED General Manager Business and
Sector Development, Clyde Rogers says: “ATEED is delighted
to deliver local awards in Auckland west, north and south as
a dedicated tool for economic growth. By celebrating
success, inspiring excellence, and helping to build
individual businesses capability, we are supporting more
sustainable businesses across the region. This can only have
positive economic and social benefits for Auckland.”
Auckland west businesses of all sizes can enter up to
three of seven categories, with all winners eligible for the
Westpac Supreme Business Excellence Award.
