What Now’ Filming Live From  Rotorua Museum This Weekend

ROTORUA 21.05.12:  Children's television show 'What Now' will be broadcast live from Rotorua Museum on Sunday [27 May] from 7.20am to 10am.

Rotorua District Council (RDC) is encouraging local families to go along to the free event and join in the fun with What Now presenter Johnson Raela at the Museum and outside in Government Gardens.

RDC economic projects business marketing manager Renee Nathan says one lucky Rotorua family will be part of What Now’s 'Live In Your Living Room' experience, where a local family gets to spend the Sunday morning with the What Now team.

“It’ll be fantastic if the local community turns up in force to support our Rotorua family while hanging out with the What Now crew.

“Families can meet Johnson, play games, and maybe get ‘gunged’. There will be some activities that require adult supervision so parents are encouraged to bring their children along and join in the fun.

“Everyone who comes along goes in the lucky postcard draw to win a What Now goodie bag.”

Mrs Nathan says having What Now filmed in Rotorua provides a fantastic opportunity to profile Rotorua.

“Government Gardens is an iconic area of Rotorua, while New Zealand’s most photographed building, Rotorua Museum, provides a perfect backdrop. We’re very pleased that Rotorua Bowling Club and Rotorua Croquet Club are also supporting the event by allowing games and activities to be played on their greens.”
